In a smartphone market dominated by the iPhone, Blackberry and various Android offering, Microsoft definitely has his work cut out to a viable claim on the market. In this spirit, the newly released 10 new phones with its Windows Phone 7 operating system. These phones are manufactured by a range of companies-5 by HTC Android specialists, and others from LG, Samsung and Dell. With so many to choose from, which are the best and what are their main features?
The HTC HD 7 is one of the most eagerly anticipated Windows Phone 7 phones and it boasts a 4.3 inch touchscreen, up to 16 GB of storage space and a 5 megapixel camera with HD video recording capabilities. Overall, it's a good phone with a decent sized screen, although the display quality not as good as it could be if it is a bit lacking in pixels. It features some good apps like notes and Photo Enhancer, but the build quality is a bit low in comparison with other offers from HTC.
Probably the most successful of the HTC Windows Phone 7 offer the Mozart. This comes with the excellent quality in general associated with HTC, and a pretty impressive specification. It is a good phone which is easy to use, with a 3. 7 inch touchscreen. There is a 8megapixel camera with Xenon Flash, that excellent image quality. It has 8 GB of storage capacity as well, looks great and comes with some good apps that are worth, although this similar to the HTC normal supply.
Samsung has announced the Omnia-7. This comes with a good speaker who hardly sound completely disturbs. The main disappointment is probably the lack of apps available from Samsung. The 5 megapixel camera makes good photos, although the speed of the focus is missing. The power button is not in the best place, but other than the construction of the quality and the format of the phone are excellent. The main bonus is the high contrast AMOLED screen that is better than any other LCD offers.
The LG Optimus p gives you the best of both worlds in that it is (still) the only Windows Phone 7 phone to offer both touchscreen and QWERTY keyboard, while the addition of the keyboard to add too much bulk. It comes with a 3.5-inch screen with 480 x 800 pixels resolution, plus a decent 5-megapixel camera. The phone has 8 GB of storage capacity and good connectivity, which is a plus point. Overall, it's a good phone but the bulk and slightly uncomfortable keyboard disappoint something.
